Too Hot

During the hot weather it is always best to do your walking or running early in the morning or late in the evening – Even at these times it is going to be hot – Be sure that you take your water with you and a snack – Always remember the 20/40 FF rule – Fluids (preferably water) every 20 minutes and a Food and Water every 40 minutes – You only need a couple of swallows of water and as for the food - You can make that energy gels, candy corn, sugar babies, pretzels, half of a marathon bar, etc. - Your body if like your car, it can’t run on empty - Take extra care that you don’t overheat – If you are out walking/running and someone is watering their lawn ask them to spray you down just a tad or run through a water sprinkler - Hey, I did just the other day - It will help cool you down and could keep you from getting overheated –
